Disney Wonder

Disney Wonder
26th August 2011
After doing some research, this is what I found out about my next ship, Disney Wonder. It’s not a huge ship like the Mariner of the Seas which can accommodate 3,500 passengers. Disney Wonder has a capacity for 2,700 guests along with 950 crew members. The total length of the ship is 964 feet and width of 106 feet along with a gross tonnage of 83,000.

There wasn’t a huge amount to find out about the ship… the most important fact about Disney Wonder is that it has a Godmother. That’s right, Disney Wonder has a Godmother who is none other than… Tinkerbell!

The itineraries seem to be a real mix up which is great as we’ll be travelling all over the place. We have a couple of Bahamian cruises that range from 3-5 nights. The Bahamian cruise itineraries for 3-5 nights include:
Port Canaveral (Florida) – our home port
Nassau
Castaway Cay
The longer cruises will include a sea day or two depending on the length.

The eight night Bahamian cruises depart from New York City heading to:
Nassau
Castaway Cay
Walt Disney World Resort (Port Canaveral, FL)

There’s also a 15 night Hawaii cruise that consists of:
Los Angeles, California
Hilo, Hawaii
Kahului, Maui
Honolulu, Oahu
Nawiliwili, Kauai
Ensenada, Mexico

The five night Vancouver to Los Angeles cruise: Vancouver, Canada (Home Port); Victoria, Canada; Ensenada, Mexico; Los Angeles; California

The six nights include: Vancouver, Canada; San Francisco, California and Los Angeles, California.

The six night Mexican Riviera cruise from Los Angeles goes to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Finally, the 7 night Alaskan cruise which is the one I can’t wait for:
Vancouver, Canada
Tracy Arm, Alaska
Skagway, Alaska
Juneau, Alaska
Ketchikan, Alaska.
There are three swimming pools – Goofy’s Pool (Family pool), Mickey’s Pool (children only) and Quiet Cove Pool (Adults only). Here’s some information from Disney Cruise Line’s website:
